Sahajatri Welfare Foundation (SWF)

Sahajatri Welfare Foundation was founded with a clear purpose — to support people who are deprived of opportunity, dignity, and a fair chance to grow. My vision has always been to create an organisation that stands beside the most vulnerable sections of society and works towards long-term, meaningful change.

As a registered Section 8 Non-Profit Organization, SWF has successfully obtained major national approvals including NGO Darpan Registration, CSR-1 Eligibility, 12A Tax Exemption, and 80G Donor Benefit. These recognitions strengthen our credibility and have opened the path for future collaboration with government departments, CSR companies, donor organisations, and national-level institutions.

Although we have not yet received CSR funding, the approvals we hold today have created a strong foundation for future opportunities, large-scale projects, and partnerships that can expand our impact.

Sahajatri Welfare Foundation (SWF) is a registered Section 8 Non-Profit Organization dedicated to creating sustained and meaningful social development for underserved communities. Founded by Lalon Haldar, the organisation was built on a strong belief that social development is not charity — it is a shared responsibility.

SWF works across multiple areas of community development, including:

With a commitment to transparency, ethics, and accountability, SWF has secured major national approvals such as:

  • NGO Darpan Registration (NITI Aayog)

  • CSR-1 Eligibility (for future CSR collaboration)

  • 12A Certification – Income Tax Exemption for the NGO

  • 80G Certification – Tax Benefit for Donors

These approvals mean that SWF is now fully eligible to collaborate with CSR departments, government agencies, corporate foundations, and donor organisations in the future.
Although CSR funds have not yet been received, these recognitions have laid a strong foundation for upcoming partnerships and major development projects.

Every initiative of SWF is designed to create long-term impact, not just temporary relief. We work closely with volunteers, educators, medical professionals, community leaders, and local networks to ensure that our programs truly reach the people who need them the most.
